Georgia to Alaska - - Roaming from Southwest Georgia

Our trip was amazing!  I would recommend it to everyone.  Probably the downside would be the time it takes to fly to get there.  We left from the Tallahassee airport on Sunday, August 15th at 6:45 AM and after touching down in Memphis and Seattle, we got to Anchorage at 4:32 PM - about fourteen hours later.  I have to admit, I'm not the best "air" traveler.

We elected to tour with the Holland American Lines and were very pleased with their entire program.  We decided to take the land tour portion first and later we were glad we did.  It gave us a chance to rest on the ship cruise afterwards.

They picked us up at the airport and transported us and our luggage to the Hilton Anchorage.  Very nice accommodations but we were wisked away the next morning (August 16th) at 7:00 AM - heading to Denali National Park by railcar.  This was a wonderful way to see the country.  It was comfortable and even had great food in their dining car.  Here are a few pictures Jimmy took from standing outside the door of the railcar.
